Carroll's three-hitter, Wiley, West homers lead HNHS past Logansport

Wes Carroll fired a three-hit shut and Brett Wiley and Joey West pounded home runs to lead the Huntington North High School baseball team to a 5-0 win over visiting Logansport on Tuesday, May 12.

Carroll had six strikeouts and only one walk in his complete game gem, improving his record to 4-3 and pushing the Vikings' market to 11-7 on the season and 6-1 in the North Central Conference.

Wiley and West each had two hits and two RBI for the contest, and Kyle Barr also had two hits.

Billy Ray got the Vikings off to a 1-0 start in the first inning with a sacrifice fly, and Wiley added his homer in the third to push the score to 2-0. West's homer with Wiley aboard in the fourth improved the score to 4-0, and Wiley brought in the final run of the contest in the sixth with a sac fly.
