The Huntington North High School varsity swim teams hosted NE8 conference foe DeKalb High School at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA on Tueday, Jan. 5, resulting in a split; the varsity boys won 92-57, however the girls were defeated by the close score of 78-82.

Top girl finishers included the following:

• Mya MacAleese placed first in the 50 Free and 100 Fly.

• Madalyn Sink placed second in the 200 Free and 500 Free.

• Bekah Brunner placed second in the 100 Fly and 100 Backstroke.

• Mandi Lippe placed second in the 100 Free and 100 Breaststroke.

• Kayla Reich placed second in the 200 IM.

• Makenna Haston placed third in the 100 Fly and 100 Breaststroke.

•Delaney Houser placed third in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke.

• Sapphire Dangerfield placed third in the 500 Free.

Top relay finishes included the following:

• 400 Free Relay finished first: MacAleese, Reich, Sink and Brunner.

• 200 Medley Relay finished second: Reich, Houser, MacAleese and Brunner.

• 200 Free Relay finished second: Houser, Haston, Lippe and Sink.

• 200 Medley Relay finished third: Kaylee Levy, Lippe, Haston and Dangerfield.

Top boy finishers included the following:

• Cooper Kowalski placed first in the 200 IM and 500 Free.

• Jeff Gross placed first in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke.

• Colten Schulte placed first in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke.

• Blake Anson placed first in the 100 Fly and third in the 200 Free.

• Henry Landrigan placed second in the 100 Fly.

• Trevor Rust placed second in the 200 IM.

• Ethan Meyer placed second in the 500 Free.

• Jace Roby placed third in the 100 Free.

Top relay finishes included the following:

• 200 Medley Relay finished first: Schulte, Kowalski, Anson and Gross.

• 200 Free Relay finished first: Gross, Schulte, Anson and Kowalski.

• 400 Free Relay finished second: Rust, Meyer, Roby and Landrigan.

• 200 Medley Relay finished third: Josh Justice, Landrigan, Rust and Jamison Heyde.
