Lady Vikes take loss in volleyball

The Huntington North High School girls’ varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams faced off against Blackhawk Christian School on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The Lady Vikings played four matches against their opponents, coming out strong in the start with a 25-21 win. Their luck ran out as the night went on, ending set two with a score of 10-25, set three with a score of 16-25 and the final set with a score of 16-25 as well.

Preslee Williams led the Lady Vikings in Aces with five total for the evening. Block leaders were Maddie Levy and Stephanie Atkinson. Kendal Kline made 14 digs and Emma Holzinger had seven kills for the evening.

The junior varsity team also started out their evening strong, starting with a 25-13 win over Blackhawk Christian. Their next set was a close one, with the score ending 24-25. Set three went to Blackhawk Christian, ending with a score of seven to 15.
