Huntington North defeated by Carroll at Golf Invitational Aug. 4

Carroll High School came away with the win at the Huntington North Golf Invitational on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Clear Creek Golf Course.

The hosting Lady Vikings received runner-up with just 28 points standing in the way of a first place score. The Lady Vikings tallied a score of 382, with Carroll landing a 354.

Huntington North’s Grace Dill was named the first place individual scorer, with a score of 78. Following with a second place individual score of 81 was Skylar Whitman of Northrop.

Oak Hill landed the third place spot with a score of 401, followed by Wawasee in fourth place with 411, and Leo in fifth place at 418, barely edging out Bishop Dwenger, placing sixth with a score of 419.

Seventh place went to Snider, with a score of 423, then Northfield in eighth place with a score of 440. Wabash placed ninth with a score of 447, and Northrop received 10th place with a score of 448.

Concordia and Manchester came in 11th and 12th, respectively, with scores of 464 and 492. Last place went to Marion with a score of 500.

Carroll High School placed three athletes on the individual scoring summary, with Marrissa Gerue in third, Tiffany Chin in seventh and Maria Krotov in eighth.  Their scores were 81, 90 and 90, respectively.

The rest of the top 10 individuals were Hope Mygrant, of Oak Hill, Sydney Holub, of Leo, Tate Cowan, of Wawasee, Annie Cole, of Wabash, and Taylor Cripe, of Wawasee.
