Colclesser starts hot as Lady Vikes down Northfield

Reece Coclesser scored seven of her game-high 10 points in the opening frame as the Huntington North High School girls’ varsity basketball team topped visiting Northfield, 42-20 on Saturday night, Nov. 23.

The Lady Vikings, 5-1, held a 9-4 lead at the end of the first frame and led 25-10 at halftime. They were up 31-14 heading into the final stanza.

Grace Sell added nine points and Leah Campbell had eight for HNHS.

Katelynn Arnold was the rebound leader with five, Colclesser added three assists and Sell had three steals. Addi Baker and Kearston Stout each had six points to lead Northfield.

Lily Clanin had 12 points to lead the Lady Vikes’ junior varsity past Northfield, 56-12. Kianna Jennings and Addison Dennis each threw in eight points, Grace Gross had seven and Tiinna Erho had six.

The Lady Vike frosh won, 29-19, behind 21 points from Alyse Geiger and 13 from Emma Holzinger.
