HU spikers fall in straight sets to Marian

The Huntington University volleyball team lost in straight sets to Marian University on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Platt Arena.

The Foresters lost by scores of 20-25, 23-25, 10-25 to fall to 14-17, 6-10 in Crossroads League play.

Huntington was paced by sophomore Lindsay Ingenito, who registered eight kills. Senior Paige Eakright and junior Brandy Michie added seven and six kills, respectively. Junior Jennings Tacosik facilitated the team’s scoring with 23 assists.

Defensively, the Foresters got 16 digs from junior Ariene Butler. Eakright contributed 13 digs while notching two blocks and assisting on two others. Sophomore Laura Nagle chipped in 12 digs.

With the win, Marian improves to 26-1, 14-1 in league action.
