HU soccermen trounce USF

The Huntington University men’s soccer team trounced the University of Saint Francis, 6-0, on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at King Stadium.

The Foresters put the game out of reach early, scoring all but one of their goals in the opening half. Eric Ocock scored twice to highlight Huntington’s offensive effort. Jake Erlandson, Noah Fleming, James Howard and Christian Kohen also found the back of the net once for the hosts. Caleb Sexton logged two assists while Ocock and Nick Allen each recorded one.

Huntington, 10-2-2, 4-0-1 in the Crossroads League, racked up 22 shots, half of which were on goal.

Gabe Greenfield and Blake Cooke split goalkeeping duties for the Foresters. Greenfield manned the goal in the first half, recording two saves, while Cooke patrolled the net in the second, making one stop.

With the loss, USF falls to 5-9, 1-4 in league play.
