Homestead dominates at HNHS Golf Invite

Homestead had the top four individuals and ran away from the competition at the Huntington North Girls’ Golf Invite on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Norwood Golf Course.

The host Lady Vikings tallied a score of 414, which placed them eighth among the 12 teams competing.

Homestead’s Maddi Dabagia was medalist with a 70. She was followed by teammates Morgan Dabagia with a 72, Simone Senk with a 73 and Megan Yoder with a 78 as Homestead totalled a 293 to win by 59 strokes.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was runner-up with a score of 352, followed by Carroll with a 361, Wawasee with a 366 for fourth and Leo with a 371 for fifth.

Wabash was sixth with a 372, Northfield was seventh with a 399, Fort Wayne Concordia was ninth with a 415 and Oak Hill was 10th with a 426.
Fort Wayne Snider and Fort Wayne Northrop were 11th and 12th, respectively, with scores of 429 and 463.

Homestead’s non-scoring golfer, Olivia Render, placed sixth individually with a score of 82.

Rachel Landstoffer of Dwenger was fifth with a score of 80.

The rest of the top 10 individuals were Anna Munson, of Leo, seventh with an 82; Belle Munson, of Wawasee, eighth with an 85; Amy Frazier of Wabash, ninth with an 85; and Annie Cole, of Dwenger, 10th with the same score.
