Parkview Huntington Family YMCA is partnering with Faith Community Church of God again this fall to offer a Huntington United Fall Rec Soccer League.

The goal of this league is to provide instruction to assist in the development of soccer skills. Three age divisions are offered for the fall league, including 7U, 10U and 14U.

Kids registering for 7U should be 5, 6 and 7 years old and must not turn 8 before Sept. 1. Those in the 10U division are 8, 9 and 10 years old not turning 11 before Sept. 1. Athletes in the 14U division cannot turn 15 before Sept. 1.

All practices and games will be held at Faith Community Church, located at 3615 N. Norwood Rd., Huntington. Practices for the fall league begin the week of Aug. 19 with games starting Aug. 24. The fall season will last six weeks with only season winners determined. There will be no season-ending tournament.

Registration for 7U, 10U and 14U age divisions is open now through Aug. 11, and may be completed by calling 359-9622 or stopping by the YMCA. Individuals may also register on the YMCA website at www.huntingtony.org.

A fee is charged per player and it is open to all community members. Financial assistance is available to help offset the cost of program. All registered players will receive a soccer ball that they may keep.
