Vikings' Haught takes long jump at North Side Relays

Long jumper Ricky Haught earned the only win on the day for the Huntington North High School boys track team as it placed 15th out of 16 teams at the North Side Relays on Saturday, April 13.

Haught flew 21-4.75 to capture his win in “A” flight. The senior also added sixth place points in pole vault at a height of 10 feet.

Zach Hubartt placed third in “A” flight in high jump with a leap of 5-10, and Nate Burns took fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles, in :40.44.

In individuals competing in “B” Flight, Christian Graft took fifth in discus with a toss of 113-11 and Jack Curless took the same spot in shot put with a heave of 37-6. Isaiah Clampitt took sixth in the 3,200-meter run in 10:28.20.

The Vikings’ 4,000-meter distance medley team placed fourth with a clocking of 11:56.99. The team was comprised of Connor Miller, Jarid Miller, Cody McCune and Clampitt.

The 800-meter sprint medley relay team of Drew Nash, Jonah Bussard, Noland Hughes and Burns placed fifth in 1:41.55. The 400-meter relay team of Nash, Bussard, Burns and Haught took sixth in :46.12.
