Wiley, Niswander get wins at Flashes Invitational

Addy Wiley and Harrison Niswander came up victorious in their races at the Flashes Invitational Track meet at Franklin Central on Friday, April 12.

Wiley won the third of four girls’ mile races in 5:14.73, which made it the 15th fastest overall girls’ mile time. Phoebe Cates of Carmel had the best time of the day winning the fourth mile race in 4:49.63.

Niswander won the first of two ninth grade boys’ mile races. His time of 4:53.72 was the 10th fastest time in the two races. Matt Newell of Columbus North won the second race in 4:40.07.

Brock Spahr placed seventh in the third of four boys’ mile race with a time of 4:32.85. Cole Hocker of Cathedral had the evening’s fastest mile time with a 4:12.48 clocking in the fourth race.

The Huntington North girls’ 3,200-meter relay team finished 12th in 10:38.48. Noblesville won the event with a time of 9:48.65.
