Viking golfers get big home win over Northfield

There was no place like home for the Huntington North High School boys’ golf team on Tuesday, April 9 as it easily dispatched visiting Northfield, 177-202, at Norwood Golf Course.

Senior Hank Pulver and junior Graham Scher led the way for HNHS with rounds of 43 for the nine holes. Freshman Chase Mickley notched a 45 and senior Sawyer Stoltz and sophomore Caden Brubaker both posted scores of 46.

Although Northfield didn’t have a junior varsity squad, the Huntington JV played nine holes. AJ Benson tallied a 44, Cameron Richison nailed a 48, Clayton Shivley and Luke Eckert each shot rounds of 52, Damien Martin and Jacob Vereeke each had rounds of 53 and Ryon Magnuson fired a 55.
