HU miler Gentrie punches ticket to nationals

Sophomore Adrien Gentie punched his first ticket to the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Champhionships by placing second in the mile on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the 2019 Flag City Open  hosted by the University of Findlay.

Gentrie earned the trip with a clocking of 4:21.64, second only to HU Head Coach Nick Johnson in the school’s record books.

Elijah Chesterman won the 1,000-meter run for HU in a personal best time of 2:34.23.

CJ Robertson and Josiah Sovine claimed second and third, respectively in the 600-meter run with times of 1:23.59 and 1:24.42. Cameron Worsham placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in :08.71.
