Wrestlers go 2-1 in triple dual Saturday

The Huntington North High School varsity wrestling team posted a 2-1 record at a triple dual meet it hosted on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The Vikings opened the competition with a 43-31 victory over New Haven, then dispatched Columbia City, 54-22. Huntington North finished out the day with a 40-36 defeat versus Leo.

Six wrestlers went undefeated on the day for the Vikes. Those wrestlers were junior Brady Lewis, at 106 pounds; sophomore Preston Teusch, at 113; junior Darryn Kuhl, at 120; sophomore Matthew Kline, at 145; junior Cody McCune, at 152; and senior Charlie Agnew, at 195.

Huntington North racked up 16 pins at the meet.
