HU distaff harriers 12th out of 35 at Strong Classic

The Huntington University women’s cross country team claimed 12th place out of 35 teams at the Jenna Strong 5K Classic, hosted by Wilmington College, in Wilmington, OH, on Friday, Oct. 12.

The Foresters were led by Aspen Dirr, who captured 22nd place in 18:59.9. Saige Norris seized 28th place, crossing the finish line in a personal-record 19:15.7. Olivia Von Gunten stopped the timer in 20:56.4, good for 97th. Bianca Tisdale took 104th, stepping over the end stripe in 21:09.1. Mara McFarland rounded out the team’s scoring runners with a 21:12.1 effort that netted her 106th.

Also running for Huntington were Molly Mitchell, 129th in 21:44, and Lauren Craig, 132nd in 21:49.3.

Ball State University was first with 48 points, followed by Northern Kentucky, 61; Cleveland State, 135; Miami (OH), 164; and Ohio Northern, 206.
