Frosh McKown's hat trick pushes HU women past USF

Freshman Courtney McKown scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Huntington University women’s soccer team past visiting University of Saint Francis, 7-1, on
Wednesday, Oct. 10.

McKown assisted on Tessy Giess’ goal 16 minutes into the contest for the first score of the game, thenn scored two goals in the next 16 minutes to send HU into halftime with a 3-0 lead. Matea Knispel scored around the only USF tally of the game and Abby Adams added a score before McKown scored on a breakway to complete the scoring and her hat trick.

Ashtyn Patrick picked up an assist on McKown’s first goal, and Jordan Adam got a dime on Knispel’s second tally of the game.

Autumn Demott made two saves to get the win in net for HU, which improved to 4-9 overall.
