The Riverview Middle School eighth grade boys' track team won just four events, but still managed to edge host Summit 53-51 on Monday, April 26.
Dan Jacobs had two wins for Riverview, in the 400-meter dash and the high jump. Justin Sowles won in hurdles and the Raiders also took the 1,600-meter relay.
Riverview's seventh grade boys fared better than the eighth-graders, smashing Summit 84-20.
Drew Fawcett won the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes and the long jump to lead the Raiders. Dustin Campbell had three wins, in the 800 and 1600-meter runs and the high jump. Gabe Jacobs and Matt Johns finished Riverview's wins by taking the discus and shot put, respectively.
