Lady Vike spikers cruise past CC

The Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team cruised past visiting Columbia City in straight sets, 3-0, on Thursday, Sept. 13.

The Lady Vikings improved to 13-8 on scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-17.

Maddy Robrock was the big stick up front with 12 kills, and she also added three aces. Morgan Robrock chipped in to the offense with 16 assists.

Brette Fawcett spearheaded the defense with 12 digs. Macy Niswander added two blocks.

The Lady Vikes junior varsity beat CC, 2-0, behind scores of 25-24, 25-16.

Maddie Levy had her names in several places in the stat book, shooting three aces, blocking a spike and recording five digs.

Mia Gardner added five kills and Preslee Wiliams led in assists with six.

Victoria Myers added five digs as the JV improved to 15-2.

The HNHS freshman team improved to 4-6 with a 2-1 win on scores of 23-25, 25-11, 15-10.

Maisy Robrock, Alayna Pohler and Regan Slagel each recorded two kills, Della Nix had three assists and Makenna Shearer had three aces.

Shearer and Kenda Sandlin each had 13 digs.
