Lady Vike spikers fall in three to Homestead

A close loss in the first game was the best the Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team could do against host Homestead on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in an 0-3 loss.

The Lady Vikes, 12-8, lost the first game, 23-25, but then fell in the next two as well, 14-25, 20-25.

Macy Niswander and Maddy Robrock led the offense with 10 and eight kills, respectively, and Morgan Robrock added 15 assists.

Niswander and Morgan Robrock also had two aces each.

Morgan Robrock was all over the pace, adding a team-high 10 digs as well.

The Huntington North junior varsity topped its Homestead foe in two straight games, 25-17, 25-24.

Mia Garner had 10 kills and Victoria Myers had seven assists. Lauren Trickle added three aces.

Myers and Preslee Williams each had five digs.

The HNHS frosh lost 0-2, 21-25, 19-25.

Alayna Pohler led in kills with 11. Della Nix had three assists and four aces.

Makenna Shearer had 11 digs to rally the defense.
