Vike netboys fall hard to Carroll

A victory by Carson Kitchen at third singles kept the Huntington North High School boys’ varsity tennis team from being swept by host Carroll in a 1-4 loss on Monday, Sept. 10.

Kitchen, a freshman, downed Max Carmody, 6-2, 6-4, for the lone HNHS win on the day as the Vikings dropped to 6-4 on the season.

At first singles, Thomas Schweller was swept by Luke Stoffel, 0-6, 0-6, and Adam Zahn at second singles fell to Grant Newman, 3-6, 6-7.

Isaac Eckert and Clark Kitchen lost first doubles to Tyler Gibson and Josh Jackson, 4-6, 3-6. Noah Zahn and Spencer Atkinson lost the second doubles match to Jonathon Hess and Ethan Koeneman, 2-6, 2-6.

Call won all 10 junior varsity matches.
