Teams find rankings in horseshoe tourney

Team 2 remained at the top of the standings in the Huntington Horseshoe Club as of June 11, through six weeks of play.

The team, comprised of Jimmy Biehl and Bruce Slazyk, sported a record of 14-4.

Team 4 was in second place. That squad, made up of Skip Sandlin and Al Brown, had 10.5 victories against 7.5 defeats.

The No. 3 spot was occupied by Team 1. Featuring Darren Stolz and Jerry Stolz, the team stood at 7.5-10.5.

Team 3, consisting of Jim Biehl Sr. and Pat Mitchell, was in fourth place with a record of 4-14.

The high game in the 30-foot pit belonged to Sandlin, who posted a score of 90. In the 40-foot pit, the top outing was had by Slazyk, who produced a score of 53.

Sandlin owned the high average in the 30-foot pit at 71 while Slazyk held that honor in the 40-foot pit with a mark of 38.
