Lady Vikings fall to Bishop Luers

The Huntington North High School girls’ varsity basketball team fell to visiting Bishop Luers, 62-51, on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Maddy Robrock led the Lady Vikes, 3-4, with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Hollyn Anderson added season-highs of 14 points and eight assists.

Rileigh Johnson added eight points and six rebounds to the HNHS cause and Karmen Koch had four assists.

Bishop Luers took a 19-14 lead after the first quarter and stretched the margin to 31-21 by halftime. The visitors went into the final frame leading 49-34.

Kathryn Knapke led Bishop Luers with 20 points. Lydia Reimbold contributed 17 points.

The Lady Vikes shot 20 of 46 from the field for 43.5 percent and hit all six of their free throws for 100 percent. Bishop Luers notched 24 of 45 field goal tries for 53.3 percent and added 11 of 16 free throw tries for 69 percent.
