The Huntington University women’s soccer team fell to visiting Spring Arbor University, 2-0, on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The score would have been a lopsided one had it not been for the efforts of Forester goalkeeper Paige Coolman. While the senior yielded the two Cougar goals, she also piled up 10 saves to keep her squad in the game.

The Huntington offense, however, was limited to four shots, only one of which was on goal.

With the loss, the Foresters fall to 6-6-1, 2-2 in Crossroads League play.

Spring Arbor improves to 12-1, 4-0 in league action. Renee Broekhuizen and Bethany Balcer scored the team’s goals while Sarah Klunder provided an assist.

Ashley Timmons and Allison Keizer combined to record the shutout in goal for the Cougars.
