HU soccermen fall to Spring Arbor

The Huntington University men’s soccer team conceded a goal in each half and fell to host Spring Arbor University, 2-0, on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Alex Sokalski scored at the 42:15 mark in the first half for the Cougars while Baba Valdmanis found back netting in the 61st minute in the second to cap the game’s scoring.

Matheus Louzada and Ty Sproat logged two shots on goal apiece for the Foresters, 5-3-4, 1-1-2 in Crossroads League play.

Huntington goalkeeper Troy Hester registered five saves while yielding the two Spring Arbor goals to take the loss.

Isiah Handspike made five stops in goal to earn the win for the Cougars, who improve to 11-2, 4-0 in league action.
