Placing all five scoring runners among the first 11 finishers, the Huntington North High School girls’ cross country team placed second at the Marion Girls' Cross Country Sectional and will compete next week at the Marion regional.

Junior Kyler Hoopingarner was sixth in 20:57.4, freshman Hanna Whitney was seventh with a time of 21:11.5 and senior Emma Melcher capped the scoring with 11th in 21:20.7.

Oak Hill paced all five scoring runners in the top 10, with senior Margo Hornocker and sophomore Mollie Gamble finishing 1-2. Hornocker won in a time of 18:43.3.
