Klopfenstein goal stands up for Foresters

A second-half goal by Audra Klopfenstein lifted the Huntington University women’s soccer team to its first win of the season, a 1-0 decision versus host Aquinas College on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Klopfenstein, a senior, tallied the goal 53 seconds into the half, getting an assist from junior Tessy Geiss.

The Foresters, 1-3-1, racked up 16 shots for the game, nine of which were on goal. Junior Matéa Knispel fired three shots on frame while junior Jaime Calvin logged two.

Senior Paige Coolman went the distance in goal, securing the win with five saves. The Huntington defense was credited with one save.

Makenzie Webb and Anya Pallas paced Aquinas, 2-2-1, with two shots on frame apiece.

Kylie Robb took the loss in goal.
