Koch, Tillett each score hat trick as Lady Vike soccergirls win opener

Seniors Karmen Koch and Hannah Tillett each scored a hat trick to lead the Huntington North High School girls’ varsity soccer team to an 8-1 win over host Fort Wayne Snider in the HNHS season-opener on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Tillett added three assists to her three-goal game for Coach Jeremy Steele’s squad, which also got goals from junior Amaya Sunderman and sophomore Autumn Anderson.

Freshman goalkeeper Maddie Husband opened her high school career by making five saves in six tries for the win.

The Lady Vikes piled up six assists for their eight goals, with Anderson, Bella Bercik and Darian Goelz each having one.
