Sophia Sterling, daughter of Steve and Megan Sterling, was 7 months old when she was diagnosed with a type of kidney cancer. Her eight months of treatment has included five types of chemotherapy as well as a surgery in March that left her with just half of a kidney.

As of July 3, Sophia’s cancer was in remission, but the lasting effects of the chemotherapy will require regular treatment.
