PAL baseball scores for week ending June 10

Scores from the Police Athletic League for the week of play ending Saturday, June 10, are as follows:

Coaches Pitch

Kindler Landscaping went 4-0 to run its record to 9-0. The league leaders tallied 57 runs while holding their opposition to just five. Kindler shut out First Federal Savings Bank twice, 11-0 and 16-0, then beat Eagle Excavating, 13-4, and Eco Water, 17-1.

Eagle Excavating’s defeat was its first of the season. The league’s second-place team, 9-1, logged wins over Firefighters, 12-11, and Carpet on Wheels, 16-5.

Firefighters bounced back with a 23-4 win over Giggabuggy to improve to 7-2.

Auto Brokers upped its record to 8-3 with a 15-10 triumph over First Federal (4-5) and a 12-6 decision versus Parkview First Care. Metro Kiwanis outlasted Carpet on Wheels, 14-13, and dispatched C&C Auto (0-9), 14-1, to move to 6-4.

Carpet on Wheels posted two wins, topping Giggabuggy, 11-9, and Parkview First Care via forfeit to up its mark to 3-7. The Berg, 3-5, and Parkview First Care, 4-7, split a two-game series, with Parkview winning the first contest, 19-3, and The Berg the second, 14-7. Eco Water beat Giggabuggy (2-7), 10-7, and finished the week 2-7.

Little League

Builders Mart improved to 10-0 with a 16-6 triumph over Pearson’s Body Shop, a 5-1 victory versus Huntington County Federal Credit Union (HCFCU) and a forfeit win against Huntington Aluminum.

Andrews ran its record to 9-0 with a 15-0 blanking of Parkview First Care, a 21-10 decision versus Huntington Aluminum and a 14-2 drubbing of Novae.

Parkview First Care bounced back with a 14-7 win over Helena to improve to 7-2. HCFCU defeated Continental Structural Plastics (CSP), 12-4, and Beacon Credit Union, 15-5, to finish the week 6-4.

Mike’s Tree Service upended Huntington Aluminum (4-4), 14-1, and deadlocked with Helena Chemical (2-6-1), 7-7, to move to 3-6-1. CSP edged Mike’s Tree Service, 18-17, but then got bested by Beacon (3-7), 19-18, to fall to 2-6. Novae picked up a forfeit win over Pearson’s to improve to 3-6. Pearson’s slipped to 1-9.

Pony League

Everything Flooring defeated Optimist Club, 12-7, and American Legion, 18-3, to run its record to 7-1. Ganzer Harrell Klein improved to 3-2 with a forfeit win versus American Legion. American Legion remains winless at 0-7 while Optimist Club slips to 3-3.
