Shea Beauchamp smacked two home runs and had five runs batted in as the top-seeded Huntington University baseball team lit up Goshen on Tuesday, May 9, 21-1, in semifinal action at the Crossroads League Tournament.

The Foresters, 32-11, moved into the finals of the tourney today at noon at Taylor by hammering out 18 hits while drawing a season-high 13 walks. Meanwhile, Forester starter D.J. Moore was pitching three-hit shutout ball for six innings to stifle the Goshen bats.

The Foresters tallied a single run in the first and scored two more in the third before posting an 11-spot in the fifth inning. They added four more runs in the sixth frame and scored three more in the ninth for their biggest margin of victory this season.

Beauchamp added a third hit to his afternoon and scored four times to lead the lumber attack. Dalton Combs added four hits and two ribbies, Jamar Weaver had three hits and Andy Roser had two hits and three RBI.

Foresting pitching yielded just six hits, with eight strikeouts and three walks. After Moore's stint on the mound, Tyson Dietrich and Colton Punches each went a scoreless inning and Mason Coy gave up the lone Goshen run on the night.
