HNHS netgirls blitz Columbia City

The Huntington North High School girls' varsity tennis team blitzed host Columbia City on Thursday, April 27, 5-0.

Climbing back over .500 at 5-4 on the season, the Lady Vikings got at least one shutout in all three singles matches. Jessica Henline at first singles topped Olivia Campbell, 6-1, 6-0, Katie Hunt at second singles used the identical score to beat Grace Cotter and Tarah Zumbrun at third singles topped Lydia Morgan, 6-0, 2-0 (retired).

The first doubles team of Macy Wohlford and Kassidy Thompson beat Hannah Behm and Jayme Acres, 6-4, 6-3, and the second doubles team of Anna Schroeder and Alyssa Hewson defeated Erin Wight and Izzy Kreienbrink, 6-2, 6-1.

The HNHS junior varsity won 6-1 to improve its record to 7-1-1 on the season.

Singles winners for the JV were Leann Ringenberg, Crosley Stanley and Emma Bickel. Doubles wins came from the teams of Olivia Bowman and Braxtyn Maroney, Anna Doctor and Emily Bokel and Sydney Smekens and Maisy Kesler.
