Vike grapplers done at semi-state

The season came to an end for the three remaining members of the Huntington North High School wrestling team with first-round defeats at the New Haven Semi-State, held Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, in Fort Wayne.

Charlie Agnew, at 195 pounds, lost via decision while Eli Parrett, at 182, and Darryn Kuhl, at 106, both got defeated by pins.

Agnew, a sophomore, lost 14-8 to Isaiah Baumgartner, of South Adams. He finishes the season 16-13.

Parrett, a senior, was felled in 2:59 by Wabash’s Noah Cressell. He ends the year with a mark of 29-14.

Kuhl, a freshman, got pinned in :50 by Nate West, of Delta. The rookie closes out his first campaign with 24 wins against 18 losses.
