Youth baseball leagues in Huntington County are now accepting registrations for their upcoming seasons.

Huntington County Baseball
Huntington County Baseball is accepting registrations through Feb. 28.

This league offers four baseball divisions, three softball divisions and one tee-ball division. The tee-ball division is open to boys and girls ages 4-6. The baseball divisions consist of 8U, ages 7-8, with 6-year-olds considered for admission if they have played two years of tee-ball; 11U, 9-11; 14U, 12-14; and 18U, 15-18, with 19-year-olds admitted if they are seniors in high school on May 1. Softball also consists of 8U, 11U and 15U divisions, following the same age ranges as their baseball counterparts.

The age of an applicant on May 1 determines what division he or she will play in.

Registration can be completed online at www.hcb sports.org. There is a fee to register, payable by credit card or by participating in a Lengerich Meats fund-raiser.

There will be separate evaluation sessions for players from Huntington and players from outside of Huntington. Both sessions will be held in the Huntington North High School fieldhouse.

Huntington baseball players will be evaluated on March 11 at 1 p.m. Divisions required to attend are 8U, 11U and 14U, though returning players do not need to attend unless they are moving up to a new division. Huntington County baseball players will be evaluated on March 4, with Andrews and Roanoke residents coming at 1 p.m. and Markle, Warren and Clear Creek Township residents coming at 2 p.m. Divisions required to attend are 8U, 11U and 14U.

Huntington softball players will be evaluated on March 11 at 3 p.m. Divisions required to attend are 11U and 15U, though returning players do not need to attend unless they are moving up to a new division. Huntington County softball players will be evaluated on March 4, with Andrews and Roanoke residents coming at 3:30 p.m. and Markle, Warren and Clear Creek Township residents coming at 4:30 p.m. Divisions required to attend are 11U and 15U.

Youth baseball at Markle Park is associated with Huntington County Baseball.

Police Athletic League
The Police Athletic League, in Huntington, is accepting registrations through March 31.

This league offers tee-ball, coaches pitch, Little League and Pony League divisions. The Pony League is for ages 13-16.

To register online, visit www.huntingtonpal.net. Registration forms can be picked up at the Huntington Police Department and the main entrance to the PAL building. There is a fee to register.

Andrews Lions Club
The Andrews Lions Club is accepting registrations through March 30. This league offers tee-ball, for ages 4-6; coaches pitch, 7-9; Little League, 9-12; and Pony League, 13-16. The league is affiliated with the Police Athletic League, in Huntington.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Lions Club building, which is across the road from Andrews Elementary School. There is a fee to register, which can be defrayed by fund-raising.

Roanoke Youth Sports
Roanoke Youth Sports offers tee-ball, for ages 4-5; coaches pitch, 6-8; sandlot minors, 9-12; and a new division, sandlot majors, 13-16.
