HNHS girls' and boys' bowling teams advance to regional

Both the third-ranked Huntington North High School girls' bowling team and the seventh- ranked HNHS boys' bowling ream will be participating in regional play Saturday, Feb. 7.

The Lady Vikings punched their ticket to regional by winning the Hoosier Conference Sectional on Saturday, Jan. 31, in Portland.

The win was decided in the 10th and final frame, where the team narrowly beat Bellmont by 10 pins.

Morgan Dafforn had a 244 and Tonya Crago bowled a 222.
The team will compete in regional action on Saturday, Feb. 7. Elizabeth Bischoff, Brittany Notestine and Lesley Love will compete in the individual regional contest.

In boys' action, the seventh-ranked Vikings placed second in their sectional game on Saturday, Jan. 31, in Berne.
EJ Tackett, who was the individual champion, bowled a 212 and a 234. Gage VanDine recorded a 225 and a 237 and Erik Garrison bowled a 215.

Tackett, Tyler Neff and Sean Smith will compete in individual regional play.
