YSB to host 2nd ‘5K 4 Kids’ on Saturday, June 7

The Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County will host the second "5K 4 Kids" fund-raiser on Saturday, June 7. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event beginning at 9 a.m. at the Youth Services Bureau, located at 1344 Maple Drive, Huntington.
The event ends when all runners/walkers have returned to the YSB, at approximately 11 a.m. There is a fee for the event. Registration forms can be picked up and completed forms dropped off at the Youth Services Bureau, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., or Fridays from 8 a.m. until noon.
Participants who register before May 27 will receive a free T-shirt. T-shirts will be available the day of the event at a cost. Awards will be given to the first place male and female in each of the following age groups: 12 and under, 13 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 55 and ages 55 or older. The overall male and female winners will receive a trophy.
The course is slightly inclined and runs on pavement. The event will run rain or shine. Maps of the course are available by contacting the YSB office.
All proceeds from the "5K 4 Kids" will go to support the programs and services offered by the Youth Services Bureau for youth and families of Huntington County. Suicide prevention activities, Tools for Life (school supply program) and the On Your Way Up are just a few of the programs offered by the agency.
This 5K event is sponsored by Solid Rock United Methodist Church, Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, Hammel Floor Service and Lake City Bank.
