Frederick gets lone win as Lady Vike netgirls fall

Kylie Frederick at first singles got the lone win for the Huntington North High School varsity tennis team as it lost to host South Adams, 1-4, on Tuesday, May 6.
Frederick, a junior, ran past Brittany Potts, 6-1, 6-1, but the closest HNHS could get to another win was a three-set loss by Casey Richman at second singles. Richman fell to Maddie Graber, 7-5, 3-6, 4-10.
The Lady Vikings are 4-4 on the season.
Emily Eherenman at third singles lost to Maddy Kloepper, 1-6, 0-6.
In doubles, the number one team of Ana Eckert and Emily Karst lost to Kylea Pierce and Riley Liechty, 3-6, 1-6, and the second team of Sarah Fryman and Alisha Leffler lost to Erika Miller and Kara Seffernick, 5-7, 3-6.
The Lady Vikings won three of the four contested junior varsity matches.
In singles, Katie Hunt downed Autumn VonGunten, 8-4. In doubles, Jessica Onate and Michael Cook topped Mallorie Hough and Korinna Schindler, 8-1, and Haley Hart and Maddie Phillips beat Caralie Farlow and Fatima Sandoval, 8-3.
Alyssa Hewson lost to MaJena Gerber, 0-8, in the remaining match.
