HNHS netgirls over .500 mark

The Huntington North High School girls' varsity tennis team pushed over the .500 mark with a 4-1 win over visiting Bluffton on Thursday, May 1.
The Lady Vikes improved to 4-3 on the season by getting two singles wins and wins in both doubles.
Kylie Frederick at first singles had little trouble with Rachel Bertsch in a 6-2, 6-0 win, and Emily Eherenman at third singles took a 6-1, 6-3 win from Claudia Williams.
At first doubles, Anna Eckert and Emily Karst ran to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sammy Gilliam and Sierra Steffen, while the second doubles team of Sarah Fryman and Alisha Leffler started off rocky but finished on top of Paige Jacobs and Cassidy McKinney, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Casey Richman at second singles took the lone HNHS loss, falling to Lauren Stauffer, 3-6, 1-6.
The Lady Vikings also won the junior varsity match, 3-2.
Laresa Lund won at singles, beating Skyler Zuber, 8-3. In doubles, Haley Hart and Maddie Phillips knocked down Madison Heller and Lexi Ramseyer, 8-3, and Kristen Dyson and Addison Clark used the same score to defeat Jillian Lida and Danielle Lambert.
