HCB to begin its season with opening ceremonies on May 2

Huntington County Baseball and Softball (HCB) will begin its season with opening ceremonies on Friday, May 2.

HCB's annual parade will depart Viking Lane at Huntington North High School at 6 p.m. for Homier Park. Opening ceremonies will begin at the park at 6:30 p.m., with first pitches thrown by Huntington University President Dr. Sherilyn Emberton and HCB Board Member Kay Schwob.

Baseball and softball teams will be introduced after, then donors and fund-raising winners will be recognized. A performance of the national anthem by Riley Bowman will precede the start of games at 7:10 p.m. and the evening will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
