HNHS netgirls blank Anderson

Losing no more than five games in any match, the Huntington North High School girls' varsity tennis team blanked visiting Anderson, 5-0, on Monday, April 28.

Third singles player Emily Eherenman ran through her opponent the easiest, not dropping a game en route to a 6-0, 6-0 win as the Lady Vikes improved to 2-3 as a team.

First singles player Kylie Frederick and both doubles teams lost only one game in their matches. Frederick topped Ketie Urbanski, 6-1, 6-0, Ana Eckert and Emily Karst at first doubles beat Aquirsa Skipper and Lexi Heruth, 6-1, 6-0, and Sarah Fryman and Alisha Leffler at second singles used the same score to defeat Alyssa McCutchen and Savanna Woods.

Casey Richman at second singles defeated Molly Guthrie, 6-2, 6-3, to complete the shutout.

The Lady Vikes also won both junior varsity matches contested. The duo of Addison Clark and Kristen Dyson won 8-0, and the pair of Olivia Henderson and Anna Doctor took an 8-7 victory.
