Riverview, Crestview split county football titles

Riverview Middle School's eighth grade football team defeated Crestview Middle School 20-12 in the county championship game on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

For Crestview, Tyler Veillieux had a touchdown thrown by his brother, Skyler Veillieux, and Tristan Smelser had Crestview's second touchdown, on a pass thrown by Kyle Jolas.

Also for Crestview, Tyler and Skyler Veillieux each had six tackles. Cerstview's eighth grade team ends the season with a 3-4 record.

Crestview Middle School's seventh grade football team shut down Riverview 34-0 to take the county title.

Parker Brundige, Houston Lehman, Brady Hill, Brandon Yeiter and Jordan Seabolt all had touchdowns for Crestvew. Hill and Caleb Landrum scored extra points.

On defense for Crestview, Colt Ropp blocked a punt and Corbin Clarke caused a fumble with Hill making the recovery.
