Crestview wins seventh grade county volleyball tournament

Crestview Middle School's seventh grade volleyball team swept the Huntington County seventh grade volleyball tournament on Monday, Oct. 19.

Crestview beat Huntington Catholic in two sets, with scores of 25-16, 25-22, in the championship match.
For Crestview, Morgan Butler and Kenzie Stephan each had eight points, Aly Grabner had seven points and Monica Minton had six points.

Huntington Catholic's top servers in the championship game were Rebecca Teusch and Alexandra Kreider, with five points each; Olivia Woolard with three points; and Makayla Caley, Courtney Scher and Katelyn Nisewander each having two points.

Crestview defeated Salamonie in two sets, with scores of 25-18, 25-16, to go to the final game.

Against Salamonie, Rachel Anderson has eight points and Grabner had seven points.

Huntington Catholic beat Riverview in two sets, with scores of 25-16, 25-14 to advance to the championship.

For Huntington Catholic, Kreider paved the way with 14 points, Caley had eight points, Woolard took five points, Teusch scored four points and Scher had three points.

Top servers for Riverview were Brianna Monroe with four points; and Tasha Grover and Bailey Kohr, each with three points.
