4 HNHS girls play for state Elite North team

Four members of the Huntington North High School girls' varsity soccer team competed for the Indiana Elite North soccer team as it played the South squad in games on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Danville High School.

As the goalkeeper for the North All-Stars, Paige Coolman posted a 1-0 shutout in the high school senior game to earn Most Valuable Player honors.
She plans to continue her soccer career at the collegiate level next year.

Corinne Tester, Courtney Scher and Aly Grabner played in the junior game. Their team played to an overtime shootout, where it lost 3-2 in sudden death. Grabner posted an overtime goal.

All three girls plan to return to the Huntington North varsity squad next fall.
