HU women booters find big offense in win over Marian

The Huntington University women's soccer team routed visiting Marian, 8-2, on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Junior Kaitlyn Dreman scored twice to help the Foresters pick up their third win in five games and improve to 4-9 overall, 3-2 in the Crossroads League.

Seniors Sam Cubic and Alyssa Krause, junior Courtney Baker, sophomore Becca Grimes and freshman Olivia Knispel each added a goal, with one score credited to the team, as Huntington submitted its best offensive performance of the season.

The Foresters had a 3-0 lead after the first half and tacked on five more goals in the second while the Knights netted two to avoid the shutout.

Senior Caitlin Adams made two saves and yielded no scores in a little over 54 minutes in goal before she was relieved by junior Mary Whybrew, who recorded two stops of her own while ceding as many goals.
