Vking netboys finish regular season with loss to Kokomo

A singles win and a doubles triumph left the Huntington North High School boys' varsity tennis team a win short as it lost to visiting Kokomo, 2-3, on Thursday, Sept. 26.

Finishing the regular season at 4-13, the Vikings got wins from third singles player Cameron Buzzard and the No. 1 doubles team of Matt Sieberns and Graham Sereno. Buzzard downed Grant Patterson, 6-4, 6-4, and Sieberns and Sereno stopped Brad Dockemeyer and Erick Bowen, 6-2, 6-4.

Tommy Bolinger at first singles lost to Craig Simon, 1-6, 2-6; Wyatt Nave at second singles lost to Bryce York, 1-6, 3-6; and the second doubles team of Andrew Smith and Nick May fell to Blake Brookshire and Jacob Farkas, 4-6, 2-6.

The Viking junior varsity lost, 3-5, to finish at 10-7 on the season.

Winning for HNHS were the doubles teams of Nathan Lundy and Tristan Thieken, Brent Krieger and Matt York and Dane Eherenman and Cameron Stuttle. Lundy and Thieken topped Chris Chessir and Trevor Emerick, 6-4, Kreiger and York got a 6-4 win over Zach Carroll and Anthony Tran and Eherenman and Stuttle used the same score to defeat Tyler Hawk and Cole Hanson.
