Huntington University has dozen earn NAIA scholar-athlete honors

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced its spring sports scholar athletes and 12 Huntington University student-athletes representing six different teams were among the list of honorees.

They are:

Josh McIntyre and Lance Wood, men's track and field; Rachel Bayon, Miranda Boyts, Holly Lutton and Cendall Ogle, women's track and field; Jamon Hammel and Josh Lanphier, baseball; Kate Knous, softball; Vlad Khudziy, men's tennis; and Stacie Cressman and Aleksandra Spasic, women's tennis.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved a junior academic status.
