Adam Central edges Lady Vike netgirls

The Huntington North High School girls' tennis team was edged by visiting Adams Central, 2-3, on Tuesday, May 7.

The Lady Vikings, 7-6, got wins from Kylie Fredrick at first singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Mariah Zumbrun and Ashley Bard.

The Lady Vikes' second doubles team of Ana Eckert and Emily Karst lost a tough three-setter, 6-3, 0-6, 4-6, for what proved to be the difference.

Fredrick beat Jessica Ripley, 6-1, 6-1, and the No. 1 doubles team enjoyed a 6-2, 6-3 win.

Kari Bard at second singles lost to Lydia Johnson, 0-6, 1-6, and third singles player Emily Eherenman fell to Laura Sigworth, 1-6, 4-6.

The Huntington North junior varsity lost 2-6. Winning for HNHS were Casey Richman, who beat Olivia Mishler, 8-4, and Jessica Onate, who topped Riley McCullough, 8-6.
