Viking diamond men lose 2-1 to Logansport

The Huntington North High School baseball team lost a 2-1 pitchers' duel to visiting Logansport on Tuesday, May 6.

The Vikings scored their only run of the game in the first inning, but Logansport pushed across solo tallies in the fourth and fifth innings against Quinton Smith to earn the win.

The Vikings, 11-5 overall and 5-2 in the North Central Conference, were limited to just three hits by Logansport hurler Kyle Jordan.

Smith, 2-3, on the season, went the full seven innings and yielded just six hits, with five strikeouts and one walk. Jordan also went seven innings, with three strikeouts and no walks.

Logansport is 12-5 overall, 4-3 in the NCC.
