Rebels fall to Eastbrook, 34-7

The Salamonie School Rebels football team fell to Eastbrook 34-7 on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The Rebs were led by Kennan Mooberry, who rushed for 41 yards, had 59 receiving yards and scored the only touchdown for Salamonie. Quarterback Grant Canady had the touchdown pass to Mooberry, and passed for 119 yards.

Wyatt Cocklin had three receptions, totaling 69 yards. Cocklin and Kody Smith each had eight tackles.

The team, now 2-1, will play Crestview for the Huntington County championship title at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Crestview.
