Bradburn leads Riverview eighth-graders to volleyball win

Lauren Bradburn earned 12 points to help the Riverview Middle School eighth grade volleyball team defeat Wabash in three sets, with scores of 23-25, 25-14, 15-14 on Thursday, Sept. 24.

In addition to Bradburn, Mikayla Carpenter earned eight points, four of which were aces.

The eighth grade team, now 3-1, will play in the Indian Springs Tournament in Columbia City on Saturday, Sept. 26. The next regular game will be on Monday, Sept. 28, against Salamonie at home.

Riverview's seventh-grade volleyball team did not fare as well as their older counterparts, falling to Wabash in two sets, with scores of 7-25, 22-25.

Tasha Grover was the team leader, scoring three points.

The seventh-graders, now 1-3, will also play Salamonie at home on Sept. 28.
