Bronze finishes by Lindsey Foster in long jump and the 3,200-meter relay squad highlighted the Huntington North High School girls' varsity track and field team's trip to the Midwest Prep Meet at Lawrence North on Saturday, April 13.
Only seven Lady Vikings made the trip to Indianapolis, with the majority of the team competing in the Marion Relays at Marion on the same day.
Foster captured third with a leap of 17-4. The 3,200-meter relay team, consisting of Hannah Stoffel, Karson Rowe, Kayla Patrick and Stephanie McElhaney, got their third by clocking in at 9:59.11.
Patrick and Foster joined Alexis Wygant and Machaela Mertz on the 1,600-meter relay team to finish fifth in 4:12.91.
Individually, Mertz ran to a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.55 and Wygant had a bound of 8-6 in pole vault.
